What is Cranio-Sacral Therapy?

If you come to see me in person at my Whitstable practice I can offer you cranio-sacral  therapy or a combination of coaching and cranio-sacral therapy which really compliment  each other.

Cranio-Sacral Therapy is an exceptionally gentle yet extremely powerful form of treatment  that can be used to encourage your body’s own natural healing capacity - so whether your  goal is to soothe and balance a system that is stressed, over stimulated, exhausted,  lacking in energy, or to manage pain, cranio-sacral is holistically beneficial.

Treatment is most often carried out with the patient lying down, fully clothed, in a quiet and  peaceful environment. When the therapist places their hands lightly on you, they are using  them to listen and focus on the rhythm and movements of your body. Your body responds  to this sensitive touch by relaxing and re-aligning itself.

Treatment is generally experienced as a profound relaxation and reintegration physically,  mentally and emotionally, often accompanied by a feeling of lightness and ease.

These are some of the words and phrases that clients have used to describe their  experience of CST with me: comforting, peacefulness, a sense of relief, deep stillness and  relaxation, connection, put back in one piece, feeling whole again.

A feeling that you have been heard in the truest sense of the word is a common  experience during and after a Cranio-sacral session.

I cannot recommend Annette highly enough. Her ability to Listen, and to gently use Craniosacral therapy to help me to realign myself is quite remarkable. She is a real find. Thank you Annette .

I’ve been to see Annette for many craniosacral sessions and she’s always been fantastic. Last year, I had a car accident and had constant headaches for about three weeks. I was taking a lot of medication and nothing was helping the pain. Annette gave me two sessions of cranial and after these sessions my headaches had completely reduced and I felt so much better. I felt a massive relief of pain in my neck and forehead during the sessions which helped decrease my recovery time.
